I hate driving on that thing. If you ever feel the urge to make the trip again, I'd check out the "black bear cafe" or something like that. They make really good sandwiches and such. I didn't even know they sold food at the lake and I live/grew up in Vernonia. Though, they are supposedly building a "bike park" at the lake there. A permanent cross track and a dirt bmx park thing. Who knows though. Taking Timber out.. hrm. That'd scare me. People cut the corners and drive too fast out that way already. I've only ridden from hillsboro-forest grove-banks-manning-vernonia both ways. Not too bad. Though, I'm fat, so it's a achievement for me. That back road from Scappoose to Vernonia sucks.
